Obituary for Kimberly Wade Burr

Kimberly Wade Burr, 62, of Fairview Heights, IL, born March 13, 1956, Corona, CA, passed away on November 6, 2018 at his residence.

Kimberly proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years of service as an Imagery Analyst for the United States Government. He then proceeded to become employed by NGA for 20 years under the same profession. He was an extremely accomplished bowler and was a member of the Professional Bowlers Association. Kimberly proudly received seven rings for bowling 300 games, and a ring for bowling an 800 series. He enjoyed being one of the head coaches for Scott Air Force Base Youth Bowling Programs as well as a coach at Bowland in Granite City. Kimberly was an avid St. Louis Blues Hockey and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoyed golf and was proud to have been a spectator at Bellerive. Kimberly loved being outdoors and you could often times find him spending time on any lake in his boat or jet skies.

Kimberly was preceded in death by his father, Delano Burr.

Surviving are his mother, Venetia Lindsey, nee Hyatt; wife, Kathy Burr of Fairview Heights, IL; four children, Thomas (Jennifer) Purkey of South Glens Falls, NY, Johnathan (Megan) Burr of Belleville, IL, Clifton (Amber) Burr of Wentzville, MO and Steven (Amanda) Burr of Lebanon, IL; ten grandchildren and many special friends including military coworkers.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Schildknecht Funeral Home, 301 South Lincoln Avenue, O’Fallon, IL 62269. Interment will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with military honors.
